Selecting Practices for Local Use

Local Data Stewards (typically district conservationists) are responsible for choosing the practices from the state practice list that will be used in their service area. If granted permission by the state data steward, they may add, edit and delete narratives for these practices.

View and choose conservation practices from the State practice table

Local Data Stewards use several options to view the state practice table. The default display lists active conservation practices sorted by practice name.

  1. Select Practices from the main toolbar.

  2. Change the sort order as desired, by clicking on the Code or Practice Name header to update the sort order.

  3. Highlight the practice.

This view shows only the practices that were selected from the National table for use in the state. State Data Stewards have several options to view these practices. Clicking on a column header sorts the data in the grid by the data in that column.

  1. Change the display to list active or deleted practices only.

  2. The Show Active/Show Deleted buttons toggle.

  1. Change the display to list published/unpublished practices only.

  2. The Show Published/Show Unpublished buttons toggle.

  1. The “Show All” button is grayed when all practices are listed.
