Managing Conservation Practice Narratives

Narratives entered by the National or State Data Steward may not be changed by local data stewards. National Data Stewards add the national records.   State Data Stewards add the state narratives, and Local Data Stewards add the local narratives

To add a Narrative:

1. From the Narrative screen,

2. Highlight a practice.

   • The default display lists all conservation practices in the table sorted initially by practice name.

   • Clicking on a column header sorts the data in the grid by the data in that column.

3. Click Add.

4. Enter narrative code.

5. Enter narrative description.

6. Click Save.

To edit a Narrative:

1. From the Narrative screen,

2. Highlight a practice on the left side of the screen.

   • The default display lists all conservation practices in the table sorted initially by practice name.

   • Clicking on a column header sorts the data in the grid by the data in that column.

3. Highlight a narrative on the right side of the screen.

4. Click Edit.

5. Revise the narrative description.

6. Click Save.

To delete a Narrative:

1. From the Narrative Screen,

2. Highlight a practice on the left side of the screen.

   • The default display lists all conservation practices in the table sorted initially by practice name.

   • Clicking on a column header sorts the data in the grid by the data in that column.

3. Highlight a  narrative on the right side of the screen.

4. Click Delete.

5. Press OK.
